My Thoughts on Rings of Power: Season 2 Highlights

Hear Ye! Hear Ye! My opinions have again been summoned, and here is my hot take on Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power season 2, episodes 1-3.

Now, in full transparency, I’m as lost as a hobbit in Mordor, but I’m loving every minute of it. I’ve never ventured into the world of Lord of the Rings or Season 1, and I deliberately chose to leap into the deep end with Season 2.

Hot take: I can see the hype; a lot is happening, and all roads lead back to those rings in vastly different settings. First, we have the elves, and they are running things, currently controlling the rings and power after a setback. The High King, I need more from him. So far, he is giving me passive energy and should count his lucky stars; he got the rings back. Galadriel seems shady and thinks not with her head but more with her lady parts. Elrond has piqued my interest, but I don’t know if it’s in a good way.

Then the Dwarves are apparently different from the Elves and need rings, too. My takeaway from them is that they look a mess, and they better get the mountain singing again!

I need clarification on who Sauron is. Is he good, bad, or Lord of the Rings? But he is in the process of creating new rings.

Like I said, a lot is going on. I didn’t even get into all of the side quests. There are humans; of course, no one trusts humans, and so much more. I may not know much about what’s happening, but stay tuned because I will figure it out and share all the tea.

As I journey deeper into this world, I hope for fewer creepy crawlies and at least one character to steal my heart. I’m fully invested now, and once I’ve devoured Season 2, I’ll circle back to the beginning with the first Lord of the Rings movie. I can feel the fan within me awakening.

While we’re all on this epic adventure, remember to catch episodes 1-3 on Amazon Prime Video and share your thoughts. I’m all ears for your take on this wild ride.
