April Reset: 8 Years, Movement, and Becoming

This month feels different.

Not because everything is perfect—but because I’ve stopped asking for permission.

And maybe that’s fitting… because this month, we turn 8.

Eight years of writing.
Eight years of growth.
Eight years of building The Misunderstood Afro Muslimah.

To honor that, I shared a blog post that feels like a full-circle moment:
“I Was Never Misunderstood: Growth, Self-Trust, and Building The Misunderstood Afro Muslimah”

Because maybe I was never misunderstood—
maybe I was just learning myself in real time.

April is about movement.

Not just in the gym—but in life.
In access.
In mindset.

That’s where the Freedom of Movement Initiative comes in.

A passport isn’t just about travel.
It’s about options.
It’s about autonomy.
It’s about being ready.

If you’ve been putting it off, this is your sign:
– Check your passport
– Start the process
– Share this with someone who needs it

Content-wise, we’re doubling down.

More training.
More structure.
More intention.

Not just showing up—but building something you can grow with.

And if you’ve been here for a while, you already know:

I’m not here to be digestible.
I’m here to be clear.

8 years in… and this still feels like the beginning.

Let’s move.
