The next time I’m asked to use one word to describe myself, it will be intentional.
I haven’t always lived that way, but life—and my body—made it a nonnegotiable. Between glaucoma, PCOS, and the collection of sub-diagnoses that come with living in a body that requires more care than most, maintaining the quality of life I deserve demands routine, discipline, and discernment.
Because I am not like most, I’ve elevated my lifestyle.
Part of that elevation includes having a medical marijuana card, which allows me to explore a range of products responsibly. I primarily consume edibles and, more recently, have developed a deep appreciation for topicals. Cannabis, when used intentionally, has become a powerful tool in managing symptoms that would otherwise hinder my productivity and presence.
Last year, I set out on a mission: to find the best combination of products that exemplify what it means to be a functional cannabis user.
I am tired of the stereotypes—the assumption that cannabis users are unmotivated, disengaged, or burned out. In reality, many of us are highly disciplined, deeply productive, and intentional about how we move through the world. I tested countless brands and dosages, fully aware that while cannabis offers incredible benefits, it also comes with drawbacks. I don’t enjoy the munchies. I don’t enjoy feeling zoned out. There is a time and place for escape—but I am no longer running from life. I have goals to accomplish.
Toward the end of last year, I read The Alchemist, which I highly recommend, and made a decision: it was time to follow the omens and live out my destiny with intention.
I celebrated my birthday in the Canary Islands, where one evening I performed a deep energetic cleanse—releasing old ties that no longer served me. It was liberating. Shortly after, a friend reached out unexpectedly about an opportunity he thought I should explore. I was intrigued, but skeptical. So I did what I always do: I researched. Extensively.
At first glance, it seemed almost too perfect—which only made me dig deeper.
After thorough research and an honest conversation, I agreed to try the product. And then it happened: I found what I had been looking for.
An edible designed for functionality.
From the branding to the mission to the story behind it, everything resonated. It felt personal—like something created for the version of myself I’ve grown into. Alignment is my nonnegotiable before attaching my name to anything, and I saw myself reflected in this brand immediately.
Then I tried the products.
Focus. Energy. Relax. Sleep.
Every piece fit.
This is the brand for me.
What makes it even more impactful is accessibility. It does not require a medical marijuana card. It does not require leaving home. It arrives directly at your door. While I will always advocate for the benefits of having an MMJ card—because it extends far beyond edibles—this felt like the missing puzzle piece I had been searching for.
Yes, I am writing this fueled by a Focus gummy. And no, that is not a coincidence.
Before I knew it, I had found a product that delivers the benefits of THC without the overwhelming effects—a product that makes my elevated lifestyle feel intentional, not indulgent.
I had the privilege of speaking with the company’s CEO, Flavia, and she is truly a force of nature. Listening to her story, witnessing her leadership, and engaging with her family left me deeply inspired. I saw both who I am now and the woman I am actively becoming.
The original opportunity was simple: they wanted my honest opinion, with the possibility of a partnership.
It is now my privilege to share that I am officially partnering with Functional Kannabis (FK+).
This does not feel like a partnership.
It feels like alignment.
I am following the omens, and I’m excited to see where they lead next.
I encourage everyone to dig deep, listen closely, and follow their true path—perhaps elevating the journey along the way. Take a look at FK+. I did my research. I trust what I found. And I genuinely feel the difference it has made in my life.
Intentional. Functional. Elevated.
