My Fitness Journey: 75-Day Soft Challenge

As y’all know by now, I am always on a fitness journey that is more like a lifestyle. But I realize the last update was during the pandemic, and we have come a long way!

I have accepted my weight is going to fluctuate, and I have learned to love myself regardless of size. That said, I also learned I am much happier living a healthy lifestyle and being active. My skin is glowing, my mood is joyful, and I feel capable. I no longer pay attention to a number on a scale but my overall well-being.

I recently completed the 75-Day Soft Challenge and can’t see myself doing that again. Overall, it was a great experience, and I am grateful for completing the challenge. Still, it was a bit too long, especially with PMS and cravings. Towards the end of the challenge, it was no longer bringing me joy and felt like a punishment. Ultimately, I realized I enjoy being active, just not logging my activities. So, I stopped keeping a log and focused on the parts of fitness and nutrition that bring me joy.

This is my current fitness lifestyle. I wake up and complete a strength training workout, followed by cardio during the week, weekends, active recovery, and yoga. I drink tea with my vitamin cocktail every day. Check out My PCOS Life for my complete tea list and vitamin intake breakdown. I try to eat healthily, and most home-cooked meals have a lot of leafy greens and vegetables. But a Muslimah needs balance because I have a major sweet tooth, and the junk food cravings are real. So, I no longer punish myself and fully indulge with no guilt.

I am no longer on a fitness journey but just living my life. I’m so excited that kickboxing is back part of my life and stay tuned for updates.
