How Black Girl Vitamins Transformed My PCOS Journey

This year, managing my PCOS has become a lot easier! Having discipline and staying consistent with my active lifestyle is the best gift I could have given myself, and it’s also improved my overall health. The most significant difference in my attitude towards the day is that it ultimately helps keep the nervous system calm. Y’all know by now that part of having PCOS, I suffer from bad anxiety. While working out, I’m able to realign my goals and priorities, and ultimately, my reminder to myself is that I am my number one priority.

Staying active is just one piece of the overall wellness puzzle. Throughout my entire adulthood, I have been on a quest for the perfect vitamin cocktail to maintain and support all of my health needs. Trial and error is an understatement, especially when initially I wanted a quick fix. It wasn’t until about five years ago, when I began researching and understanding what my body needs as a woman with PCOS, that I began to see positive results. I found it never beneficial to take advice or implement routines from women who don’t share my conditions. Thus, I no longer accept unsolicited advice unless you share my reality.

However, I’ve noticed the most significant impact on my overall health and aesthetics since I started taking Black Girl Vitamins collagen powder! I was extremely hesitant to give it a chance. I do not have a good reason for my hesitance, but something about being damn near 30, I thought it was time to work on anti-aging. I took a leap of faith, and I’m unsure if it’s keeping me youthful, but within two weeks, I could see and feel the difference.

As a fitness girlie, I noticed the change in my energy levels immediately! I have more energy throughout the day, and waking up in the morning has become easier. I wake up between 5 and 6 AM to work out, say my affirmations, and finish the morning routine with a cup of tea and my magic BGV powder. The powder is tasteless, but it makes my tea a bit smoother. I typically add a lot of lemon, so I don’t taste a thing. But I love that with each order, they provide different recipes to make, incorporating the powder. I have been doing this consistently for about 8 months. By month 3, I knew this was officially going to be added to my lifestyle and was ready to explore what else BGV has to offer.

This led me to purchase the PCOS vitamin, which is a product I typically avoid due to the rarity of reviews matching the promises. However, I took another leap of faith. This product has helped my symptoms and attitude towards having PCOS tremendously. First, the vitamins are two heart-shaped gummies that taste pretty good. For the PCOS vitamins, it took about a month for me to see and feel the difference. But that could have been since the collagen powder was already having such a positive impact on my skin, hair, energy, and mood. But the PCOS vitamins only enhanced my experience. I immediately noticed a difference in my periods, on time and less painful. After 2 months taking the vitamin, I saw a difference in the rate and texture of my facial hair. It’s become softer, and the growth rate has decreased significantly. I have been using the PCOS vitamin for about four months now, and my skin is glowing, menstruation is flowing, and I have a burst of energy that I never thought possible for me.

When people used to ask me how I was, my default response was “tired” because I was genuinely exhausted from something. But it’s time to switch it up. I’ve got a burst of energy for life, a newfound confidence, and I’m in control of my health and well-being. I am open to exploring more BGV products, and I’m grateful I took the leap of faith and made the purchase. I’m excited to see how I feel and look in a year from now on this journey. But I highly recommend doing your research and looking into what they offer! They have something for everyone, and especially for Black women. It’s about time we had access to vitamins and healthy options tailored to our needs!
